May 1: Saint Joseph the Worker
In response to the pagan Communist celebration of May Day , the Church has instituted the feast of Saint Joseph the worker. We should remember that work is holy and necessary to salvation. Let us prepare by learning how to work now by following the simple rule: Work first.
PRAYER: Saint Joseph, you labored quietly and honestly to support the Holy Family, teach us to follow your example of work and prayer that we may share in the joy of dying surrounded by Jesus and Mary. Amen.
