February 12th: Saint Eulalia, martyr at 14

We continue with the many children that we shall study this month with Saint Eulalia.  She was born of Catholic parents, and from a young age burned with a desire to be a martyr.  When the decrees of Diocletian and Maximian were issued, she rushed to the court and confessed her faith.  Although she was barely fourteen, the Prefect made her undergo many tortures, then finally burned her alive.

PRAYER: Saint Eulalia, who desired to be a martyr from an early age, inspire all children to become saints from the moment they obtain the use of reason.  Amen.
